EQUINET, the Regional Network on Equity in Health in Southern Africa, is a network of professionals, civil society members, policy makers, state officials and others within the region who have come together as an equity catalyst, to promote and realise shared values of equity and social justice in health. The EQUINET steering committee is in 2006 and 2007 developing a regional equity analysis to give profile to the issues, options and key messages for action to strengthen health equity and revitalize and build universal national people centred health systems in east and southern Africa. For this EQUINET is drawing together perspective, evidence, experiences, and views from within and beyond the region.
