The Guidebook provides step-by-step guidance to establishing Priority Setting Partnerships. These bring patients, their carers and clinicians together to identify and prioritise unanswered questions about the effects of treatments ('treatment uncertainties') for research, using James Lind Alliance (JLA) methods. It includes templates for questionnaires, terms of reference, draft agendas, and other materials based on case studies of different models of Priority Setting Partnerships. The Guidebook also offers research evidence of why patient and clinician involvement in research priority setting is important, and provides supporting documentation, publications, links and resources. The Guidebook is primarily for patients and their carers, clinicians and the organisations that represent them.
