It includes projects funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Institutes and Centers (ICs) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), beginning from the fiscal year 1999, the first year federal agencies started reporting research related to dietary supplements. It is provides detailed records of research projects funded by these federal agencies. It serves as an resource for tracking the progress and outcomes of dietary supplement research funded by the government.
